Five above-ground parking levels are included in this 440,700-sf, seven-story structure squeezed onto a 2-acre footprint.  The below-ground floors result in deep 58-foot excavations.  Design challenges included heavy soil pressures with a water table 36 feet below the surface.  The site is located near the Han River, subjected to tremendous water influx.   To deal with this condition, a 3.3-foot thick slurry wall will be installed 82 feet deep.  A mat foundation was designed to resist hydraulic uplift.
